    The Super Powered Fancast

Kubert delivers some beautiful, powerful and energetic art throughout the issue. The imagery is dynamic and full of great action.

Wolverine #16 is a good finish to the latest story arc that features a lot of new details learned about Arakko mutant Solem. The creative team is also showing us how a villain that’s similar, but also opposite of Wolverine in a few different ways acts as a way to further define our favorite Canadian superhero.

    Comic Watch

Wolverine #16 continues the quest for a Muramasa blade in an action-packed issue with an added bonus: a swashbuckling Wolverine!

    The Comicbook Dispatch

Overall, the issue, and frankly the arc, seemed too rushed and fell a bit flat. It just didn’t have the same excitement as the Vampire/ Omega Red arc or the Maverick issues.

    You Don't Read Comics

Wolverine #16 is an entertaining comic, but it feels like theres stuff missing. Percy does a good job of letting readers know who Solem is, but he doesnt give them the big Solem/Wolverine fight that this story seemed to be building towards. Kubert is at the top of his game again, which is pretty much what hes been doing the entire time on this book. Its not a bad comic; its just strange.

Solem presents himself as an interesting potential foe for Wolverine and the rest of the X-Man, but a Deux Ex-Emma-Frost stops whatever threat he potentially poses dead in its tracks.
