This gripping tale’s first arc comes to a close while maintaining its intensity and leaving much to ponder. I am absolutely convinced that this is the best horror comic of the year. I am well aware that there are several outstanding horror comics out this year, but W0RLDTR33 possesses an unsettling quality that makes it plausible as a real-world event.

If you haven’t done yourself the favor of diving head-first into this series, go get it as soon as humanly possible. You might be missing out on what could potentially be the finest horror comic of the decade!

There is so much that happens in this issue you DON’T want to miss it! The first five issues of this book might be some of the best I’ve ever read and looked at. That’s saying something folks! If it continues at this pace I might even venture to say it’s better than SIKTC! I know! Crazy right?? It has a way to go before we can officially make that assumption but time will tell. It’s going to be very hard waiting for the next arc to drop. Get on board people! Check it out today!

One of the secrets to good storytelling is knowing when to switch things up. This creative team pulls that off in this issue – along with plenty of surprises and great art that will keep readers coming back for more.

W0RLDTR33 #5 is a perfect end to a nearly perfect first arc, with James Tynion IV masterfully weaving together a story of corruption, tragedy, unending mystery, and potentially even hope into a unique vision of what’s to come. Tynion IV’s use of flash forward, and flash back, perfectly sets the stage for the next several arcs, hopefully exploring not only these characters past and futures, but also diving more into fascinating but more surface level characters like Detective Silk and Fausta. Grounded in gorgeous art from Blanco and Bellaire and stellar lettering from Bidikar, W0RLDTR33 #5 will continue to shock readers while promising even more amazing world building, and destruction, from Tynion IV in the coming issues.

W0rldtr33 is a strong contender for best new horror comic of 2023. Issue #5 takes wild swings in terms of showing off the devastating effects of the “Undernet”, both in the present and the future. Both storylines are amazingly interesting when it comes to the future of the series, easily convincing readers to stick around for what happens next. The future storyline specifically is jaw-dropping, painting the picture for a worse case scenario that begs to be explored. Drastic measures are taken in the face of attempting to stop the Undernet in the present, as the horror comic aims to create a very different world from what we know today. WorldTr33 fires on all cylinders and this comic series makes for a horror fan’s dream when it comes to creating a comic book that is both terrifying and compelling. This is 100% the horror comic to watch.

This series was phenomenal since issue 1 and it never let up when it hit the ground running. w0rldt33 is the best horror comic story out there right now as it serves to be an essential primer on how to write and draw a fascinating story in the comics medium.

After all the massive revelations this issue drops on us, it’s hard to predict how the story unravels from here. And that’s what makes this series so fun. It’s intriguing with its concept and unpredictable in its approach. I’m hooked on seeing where things go. If this issue can be used as any indication, it’s that Tynion and the creative team have only scratched the surface of how messed up they are willing to get for their story. There are still plenty of dark secrets to uncover in this series that will catch readers by surprise.

    Lotusland Comics

‘W0rltdtr33’ concludes arc one in a fantastically demented way that only Tynion and Blanco could bring. A masterclass in horror, the series has been able to invoke genuine fear and suspense and somehow found a way to get even better.

    Comic Book Revolution

James Tynion, Fernando Blanco, and Jordie Bellaire’s chemistry shines throughout this final issue as they complete their world-altering endgame-level story with W0rldtr33 #5. The ending firmly places W0rldtr33 as an epic thriller that’s one of the must-read comics of 2023.

It’s a fun read and one that I will no doubt continue enjoying as I read both forwards and backwards through it’s different issues.

We don’t yet know when the next arc for W0rldtr33 will be released but suffice it to say that I’m hopeful it’s coming soon. As frustrating as the wait for answers to his stories can be, Tynion has again created one of the best new worlds of the year and shows why he was an extremely deserving winner for this year’s Eisner Award for Best Writer.
