    But Why Tho?

Unnatural: Blue Blood #5 delivers some strong moments and interesting developments while setting up the next leg of the story. Despite a minor hiccup, the story never fails to entertain, and I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next for my favorite crew of anthropomorphized animals.

While I feel like this sequel series has yet to fully capture the magic of the original Unnatural, this week's issue heightens the conflict in some unexpected ways. Plot twists are aplenty across this issue, and combined with the reliably consistent art from Ivan Bigarella, it takes the series' bizarre ensemble into uncharted and emotional territory. At this point, you're either already on the bandwagon of this series or not, but this is a solid enough reminder of what the franchise is capable of.
