    Get Your Comic On

At this point this series is basically a guaranteed 5⭐ issue after issue, the creative team behind this are the best in the business. Spawn has been one of my favourite characters in comics for many years and this series has opened my eyes to a whole world of fantastic characters. The intensity of this series continues to grow and I’m looking forward to the next issue to see what’s in store.

    The Comicbook Dispatch

Human or alien, living or spawn, Scorched #19 reminds us that mourning and loss are traits we all share. Meditations on those drawn to power, and Terry Pratchett’s definition of evil, highlight this pause amid the raging apocalypse.

    Comical Opinions

SCORCHED #19 works exceedingly well as a setup issue to move Spawn and Scorched into position while Senator Terminus makes his new soldiers ready for Earth’s judgment. The emotional drama and tension are sky-high, and the art is excellent.

    You Don't Read Comics

There’s real potential in the premise behind the Scorched. The overall premise echoes some admirable reflections of Chris Claremont and H.P. Lovecraft and a few other really influential writers. The visuals have an undeniable power that shoots across the page. All of the right elements are clearly there. They just aren’t on the page in a way that feels at all interesting.
