    Major Spoilers

Usually, I am happy with the plot I get in a single comic. But the cliffhanger in Strange Academy: Finals #2 makes me want that next issue. Skottie and Humberto are doing an excellent job with this series, and I hope we see stories of these characters for a long time. 4.5 out of 5 stars for Strange Academy: Finals #2.

‘Strange Academy: Finals’ keeps doing what the series does best, hitting deep emotional moments with these magical characters who feel like they’ve been part of the Marvel Universe forever. This is a series that continuously improves and entrenches itself deeper and deeper into both the magical and non-magical side of Marvel, a series that any Marvel or comic book fan should be checking out.

    The Super Powered Fancast

The Story: Things are getting more and more exciting for the students and Young crafts a story that showcases who these characters are and the loyalty they have for each other. It has a lighter tone than the previous issue and I love the evolution of Doyle as a character. The Calvin storyline continues to be engaging and I look forward to seeing what happens next after the explosive cliffhanger. The Art: Ramos delivers some beautifully detailed art throughout the issue and the visuals are both fun and thrilling.

Another Marvel civil war is brewing, pitting members of the publisher's mystical stable against one another. As expected, Young continues to do a stellar job balancing this title's massive ensemble, even adding a few new-ish characters to the mix this time around. Since there are so many characters involved, the overall narrative can grow thin but that's perfectly all right for those hoping for a character-driven tale given this title has plenty of character to go around.

A lot of neat things happen for our characters in this issue, which helps keep the already strong momentum going. I especially look forward to these youngsters becoming heroes.
