I found myself really liking Domina Tagge and the Tagges in general more here than I do in Aphra’s series, much like Wong’s writing. Seeing the others Tagges makes Domina feel way more like an actual character, and I found myself appreciating her more without the baggage of the parts of the Aphra series I don’t really like. And that just ties into the already-mentioned reasons why I liked this so much. I won’t say much else about the plot because recommend reading it! And while you’re reading it, you’ll get to appreciate the awesome art from David Baldeon, who I don’t recall seeing on Star Wars before, and he did a fantastic job. Check it out!

Overall, Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters Boushh #1 is a story I didnt expect much from and was pleasantly surprised to find an action packed sidewinder. The story by Alyssa Wong is exciting. The art by the creative team is gorgeous. Altogether, an excellent story that will excite long time fans of Star Wars.

A very well-done comic that’s going to leave you satisfied, yet wishing there was going to be a direct sequel or next issue. In this case, the only bad part about this one-shot is that it’s a one-shot.

In addition to this book giving us an exciting tale of bounty hunters, we also get to see Domina in all her glory, retroactively making her a more compelling figure in the Aphra series, making for an all-around exciting and action-packed adventure.

    But Why Tho?

Boushh #1 is a mostly good background story on a little-known Star Wars character. I only wish the extended issue spent more time on him than on another series’ antagonist. It felt too much like a promo forDoctor Aphraand not enough like a Boushh one-shot with how the story was balanced.

While these one off stories are not really compulsory to buy to understand the main War of the Bounty Hunters storyline, they are still good background for characters and their motivations within the wider galaxy. Disney throwing the expanded universe content into the bin is still a sore point for a lot of people but at least they are developing new expanded universe to replace it and the newer stuff will be able to featured going forward.
