Spider-Man #18

Generally favorable ratings

Based on 4 critic ratings.

Spider-Man finds out that Hammerhead isn’t so funny after all. The NYC crime-land gang war is heating up, and Miles is getting a little too involved. This won’t end well.

    Black Nerd Problems

Spider-Man turns in a pretty good issue with some real minor gripes. It is nice to see that Miles maturation as a person and hero isn’t a straight line as he struggles with anger and the extent of his powers. Hopefully, we see more of this quality consistently throughout this arc.

Great action, fantastic dialogue, and gorgeous artwork make Spider-Man #18 a perfect example of why it’s one of Marvel’s best current offerings.

It’s neither bad nor good, it’s simply functional for the issue. But it isn’t a deal-breaker.

    Bleeding Cool

Miles Morales is an endlessly likable character, and it makes this a fairly enjoyable comic. Its another stepping stone on the journey of the new Spider-Man, and it helps remind you why this character became so popular so quickly. This one comes with a recommendation. Check it out.
