This is the end of an era for Gene Luen Yang, and Shang-Chi will never be the same. This issue was a blast and a near perfect conclusion to the run that began only a few years ago. - 80

Master of the Ten Rings wraps up Gene Luen Yang's recent run of Shang-Chi wraps up in an enjoyable manner. While it's hard to bring about an end to many of the story threads that have been building in various Shang-Chi comics over the past year or two in a single issue, Master of the Ten Rings does a fantastic job of reshaping the titular character's own morals and beliefs. On its own, Master of the Ten Rings isn't the best Shang-Chi comic I've read, but it serves as a nice epilogue of sorts. - 80

Shang Chi: Master of the Ten Rings #1 is advertised as the end of Gene Luen Yang’s Shang-Chi Saga and is a satisfying conclusion. Shang-Chi feels like a well-rounded character and leader who deserves to be among the powerful forces of the Marvel Universe. With all that in mind and my particular connection to the character: this comic is a 4 out of 5 stars. - 80
