The Comicbook Dispatch
Parrot, Renna, Marques, and Carey deliver another strong issue in ROGUE SUN #9. Seeing Dylan brought low in the manner that he is here is a new storytelling dimension. It’s the kind of development to build on an already strong run and keep the series fresh. - 80
COMICON
The creative team takes a breather with this issue to set up what’s coming next. It doesn’t make for a great single issue, but it lays the groundwork for a better story arc over the next several installments. - 70

Parrott continues helping flesh out the MassiveVerse with additional characters. The only problem there is that they're the same characters the title introduced last issue, and neither their story nor development takes a major leap forward here. Instead, just crumbs are laid down for future storytelling. One bright point is the sudden spotlight given to Rogue Sun's supporting cast that, without giving anything major away, put them in one of the most interesting predicaments this book has seen yet.
