Superpowers, babies, art, and ill-timed supervillain heists are all here as Miles Morales: Spider-Man #20 pulls a page out of classic comic book storytelling in the best ways possible. Per usual everyone here is pulling their A+ game to create one of the best Miles Morales comics around, and one of the best comics on the stands.

Good for Miles getting some relaxation and family time with Shift, Ganke, Billie, and Ms. Marvel. While they still had to put their super-powers to good use, it was done and over with quickly. Miles was in desperate need of some downtime. I actually thought this would be a Blood Hunt tie-in, but that officially starts next month. Just getting to see our favorite superheroes as regular kids doesn’t happen often enough.

    The Comicbook Dispatch

A former gunrunner develops an interest in art, Shift takes responsibility for Miles’ young sister Billie, and High-Tail’s past returns to haunt her in Miles Morales: Spider-Man #20.

    The Super Powered Fancast

Ziglar creates an entertaining prelude for Miles in this issue. It gives great character moments that remind the reader what’s interesting and unique about the character. I like the family dynamics at play and continue to enjoy seeing Miles being in the world before having to defend it. The story also has a wonderful lead in to the Blood Hunt storyline.

Vicentini delivers wonderful visuals throughout the issue. The action was beautifully detailed and visually thrilling.
