A celebration for a Spider-Hero means a whole lot of personal pain and struggle, which is just what Brooklyn’s web-swinging hero must deal with in ‘Miles Morales: Spider-Man’ #18. A jam packed anniversary affair that showcases why this character has endured and thrived in his handful of years existing.

The 300th issue finds Miles and his allies on a collision course against Agent Gao and her team of Cape Killers that in turn takes the action up a notch and the really “WOW” moments within this issue are sure to be a crowd-pleaser that will show everyone why Miles is truly deserving of being the true Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man even when the issue ends on a dramatic note (**NO SPOILERS**); It may not be a modern-day version of Amazing Spider-Man # 300 but it’s a celebratory issue worthy of your time.

Miles Morales: Spider-Man #18 is full of everything you’d want from a Miles Morales comic, a Spider-Man comic, or just a good comic in general. All of this is thanks to the creators who contributed to this issue, and the ones who paved the path before them. Here’s to 300 more issues.

The celebratory 300th issue featuring Miles Morales as Spider-Man is an emotional rollercoaster, but one I’m glad I was on board for. There are a lot of personal moments between Miles and his crew, Scorpion and Prowler, and Agent Gao and Rabble. Of course, with this being a superhero comic book, it doesn’t lack in action either. You just knew something Earth-shattering would happen to Miles, and that’s teased in the final moments.
