But Why Tho?Miles Morales: Spider-Man #1 is an excellent new start. It feels like a continuation of a progressing tale and also the beginning of a different take on the hero. Ziglars approach to Miles features a lot of depth that branches into various possible directions.
The Super Powered FancastThe Story: Ziglar creates an interesting story for Miles and I love seeing him struggle with multiple things at once. There is a scene of great vulnerability in the issue and I love that it is resolved by Miles opening up to his parents. I find the new antagonist in the issue interesting as well and look forward to seeing what her motivations are. The Art: Vicentini delivers some great visuals throughout the issue and I love the tone of the art and its style. The action is thrilling and I love the character designs as well.
Weird Science Marvel ComicsMiles Morales: Spider-Man #1 is a rock-solid start to a new run starring Earth-1610’s favorite Wall-Crawler. The art, especially the action, is fantastic. Zieglar paints a picture of a relatable teenager with too much on his plate, and the villain is intriguing enough to want to know more.
