Mary Jane Watson and Felicia Hardy are trapped in Limbo and at the mercy of Belasco The Swordsman!
As if that wasn’t bad enough, they’re also keeping Secrets from one another!
Somehow, MJ’s got powers and there’s a new (old) man in Felicia’s life – and if they don’t come clean with one another, they could be stuck in Limbo forever!
Un Cómic MásMJ and Black Cat continue to show off that hilarious dynamic and new team chemistry.
You Don't Read ComicsThe series reaches its mid-point next month. MacKay and company have rigidly defined the parameters of the rest of the series by the end of the second issue. There seems to be more than enough magic around the edges of the story to maintain the possibility of the unexpected sneaking up on the narrative from a number of different directions. It’s neat. It’s tidy. And it’s got just the right amount of chaos woven into its heart.
COMICON'Mary Jane & Black Cat' #2 keeps up the same amazing energy that the feline thief enjoyed in her own solo series, but takes it up a whole other notch with the character dynamics as well as the fantastical setting and players added to the board. There is a powerful flow that moves through all pieces of work in this comic, creating something that is solidly amazing and fun from start to finish that is worth revisiting over and over till the next issue arrives.
ComicBook.comMary Jane & Black Cat is a "Dark Web" miniseries that will extend several months past the event, but Mary Jane & Black Cat #2 shows why it merits a spot on any MJ or Black Cat fan's pull list. Having descended into Limbo, the unlikely partners are posed with a chance to escape that, of course, takes the form of a heist. The framing for this supernatural robbery is presented in gorey detail that provides plenty of eye-catching previews of the setting and antagonists to come. No space is wasted and the pair are on their way and engaging traps bound to inspire Dungeon Masters everywhere before the issue's end. Between the splashy setting and wide array of conflicts (i.e. secrets between friends and who will rule hell), Mary Jane & Black Cat is a bona fide highlight of "Dark Web."
Multiversity Comics"Mary Jane and Black Cat #2 is a great issue that adds so much context to Black Cat and Dark Web!
Comics Nexus by Inside PulseAnother tie-in to Dark Web that doesn’t feel material to the main event narrative or to the duos growth. Art was ok with the main cover and variant covers to the book being quite strong.
