There’s a lot to love in Marvel’s Voices: Spider-Verse #1, be it new adventures for familiar heroes or brand new heroes entirely. At $9.99, it’s a bit steep, but with the extra interviews, it feels like a good price since it’s mixed media that celebrates comics and everyone’s favorite Spider-Verse. - 90

I'm a sucker for a good anthology, and while Marvel's Voices can be hit or miss, Marvel's Voices: Spider-Verse #1 is decidedly a hit. It can be easy to forget how richly and diversely populated the Spider-Verse is with not just some fantastic and fresh characters, but also how richly diverse the creative pool Marvel has as well. Each of the stories in this issue are very well written and while we do get plenty of well-known faces – Miles Morales is well represented here, there are plenty of less familiar faces to get to know here, too. All of the stories are solid and have solid art, but the POV approach to Cindy Moon in "An Unraveling Web" by Jeremy Holt (art by Eric Koda and colors by Erick Arciniega) is an absolute gem. - 88

This anthology showcases a variety of Spider-Verse heroes and gives creators from underrepresented backgrounds the chance to tell fun, meaningful stories with them. It's an excellent read whether you are a long-time Spider-Verse fan or just getting into the characters.
