Big Game #4 (of 5)

Comicscore Index
Universal acclaim

Based on 7 critic ratings.

The Chrononauts might be dead, but Hit-Girl can use their time travel technology to go back to the world of Empress.

This is literally the maddest and most brilliant book out there right now.

The comic book event of 2023 and a must for anyone who loves the Millarworld books, as every single character is here for the fun!

‘Big Game’ #4 is the perfect blend of the new with the old. Within this high-concept, high-drama storyline you will find homages to some of comics’ classic crossover tropes as well as a very contemporary take on them as is Millar’s way. Entertaining and tense as more heroes get bumped off in the pursuit of maintaining the status quo.

    Lyles Movie Files

Big Game has lived up to the hype and then some exceeding expectations to deliver a gripping and important story. This is absolutely going to shake up the Millar Verse.

    Un Cómic Más

Millar is the king of plot twists, you can never expect what happens as you turn each page.

Pepe Larraz continues to capture the essence of all these Millarworld characters with his unique imprint, with detailed art with many textures, where Niro’s colors offer a nostalgic touch but at the same time defines each of these characters. The sequences of violence are very dynamic and the changes in environments are hypnotizing.

    Comical Opinions

BIG GAME #4 takes an already big and fantastic miniseries and adds a twist that makes it bigger and fantastic-er(?) Millar is pulling out all the stops to surprise readers with every page turn, and Larraz’s art is top-tier.

    The Super Powered Fancast

The Story: The story gets a lot bigger with a lot more moving parts and tons of action. Millar crafts another great chapter that not only has some devastating moments for characters you’ve grown to love, but also some moments of possible hope from the most unlikely of heroes. I continue to enjoy how this story is expanding and the cliffhanger ending of this issue makes me excited to see what happens next.

The Art: Larraz has a mastery of visual detail and explosive action. The art in this issue is stunning and I loved every page and panel.

Mark Millar sets things up for a really big finale issue as we see Morax’s forces come through a time portal on the last page. I look forward to seeing how Wesley Gibson and Nemesis fare when up against Morax and his forces. And given that Morax has a Wizard in his employ. It will mean that Cordelia and the Magic Order will no longer be breaking any rules by entering the fray. Bring on issue 5.
