In the Gotham City of the 1800s, Runaway has awoken in the subterranean laboratory of the Court of Owls! But when a new, rather savage ally enters the fray, Runaway is faced with a centuries-old mystery. Meanwhile, in the present, Nightwing and Robin are thrown for a loop when they face off against crazed victims of the Golden Iris Virus… in an abandoned amusement park!
Geek DadThis continues to be far more intriguing than I would expect any video game tie-in to be. (...) This story builds until a reveal that the Court of Owls aren’t the only major DC villains involved in this story. It’s a great look into an era of Gotham we’ve truly never seen before.
ComicBook.comThis tie-in continues to be a more than worthy story to not just explore Gotham's present in this video game universe, but its past as well. In fact, the real meat on the bone when it comes to this series is the Court of Owls in Gotham's earlier years along with those who donned a mask long before Batman and his crew had. The addition of a famous DC Comics villain works well in potentially uniting the two timelines, and I'm highly anticipating what Narcisse and Abel have in store.
Batman-NewsWe’re halfway through this series now, and things are starting to ramp up. I’m excited to see what comes next!
