    Geek Dad

This issue is a little darker than the last two, with not all that much Hoppy (although his caustic relationship with Faruka is always a welcome addition to this book). But so far it seems to be avoiding the pitfall of so many tie-in comics. Not only does it feel relevant to the main story, but it feels like it’s revealing key details from the story that we can’t find anywhere else. Hopefully this is just the start of what Campbell has planned for the DCU.

    The Super Powered Fancast

The Story: An entertaining and thrilling adventure that has a fantastic sense of pacing and tone. I was immersed in the issue and all of the intricacies of the adventure and the characters. There is a great growing mystery at the center of this series and I continue to enjoy seeing how it unfolds.

The Art: Georgiev delivers some fantastic art throughout the issue. I love the character designs and how the imagery aligns with and enhances the mystery and tension of the story.

Issue 3 keeps the saga going on smoothly, keeping consistent art and mystery alive. With three out of six issues in, it’s safe to say that Amazons Attack is going to be one of the most solid titles under the Dawn of DC banner.

Amazons Attack does an incredible job of keeping tension bubbling below the surface, even when there is so much happening right in front of you. We can see the dangers of the world clearly, and we know what’s at stake, but there is a consistent lingering feeling that nags at you page after page. There’s a domino in perpetual danger of falling but it’s out of sight so you never quite know when that moment is going to come. It makes for a thrilling read.
